If you grind your teeth, consciously or unconsciously, you can wear down the enamel and also develop temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. We’ll alleviate your discomfort and prevent further complications by providing you with a custom-fitted mouthguard.

In addition to looking for dental problems when we do oral exams, we also look for any indications of serious systemic health issues such as cancer and other conditions. Early detection is critical!

When your teeth are misaligned, you may develop difficulty eating and speaking. If you don’t seek treatment, your teeth can become worn and broken. We can realign your teeth simply by filing a small amount of enamel from select teeth.

With scaling, we eradicate bacteria from between your gums and teeth using our minimally invasive laser technology. During root planing, we extend this down to the root level, then smooth down the roots to keep bacteria from growing in the area in the future. After this your gums can look and feel better than they have in a long time!

Following gum disease treatment, we’ll typically have you return to our office periodically for additional deep cleaning to keep your gum disease from returning.

With sleep apnea you not only snore each night, you stop breathing! In the short term this can cause daytime tiredness; left unchecked sleep apnea can eventually affect your heart health and more. Our team can create a mouthguard that will fit your mouth perfectly and shift your jaw slightly forward during sleep to prevent airway obstruction, the most common cause of snoring.

At Rowan Family Dentistry we want you to look good as well as feel good. When it comes to cavities, we use composite fillings not only to reinforce and save the tooth but to make the affected tooth part of a seamless smile. Composite fillings are the same color as your teeth—so they never show through!
